Meet the dedicated individuals shaping our community’s future through thoughtful leadership.
Regular Town Council Meetings are every second Tuesday at 7PM. If a person wants to address the council they should contact Recorder@chapmanvillewv.gov, or their favorite elected official at least 4 days before the meeting.
Joel McNeely
Leads with vision and integrity, focusing on growth and community well-being. Serves as the town’s chief elected leader, helping guide local policy, represent the community, and work with council and staff to oversee town operations and priorities.
Phillip Williamson II
Recorder
Maintains official municipal records, prepares and preserves yearly budget and meeting minutes, manages ordinances and resolutions, and helps ensure the town’s public documents and procedures are accurate and accessible.
Harry Freeman
Council Member
Serves on Chapmanville Town Council, helping represent residents and make decisions on local ordinances, budgets, and community priorities.
Dean "Doc" Williams
Serves on Chapmanville Town Council, working with town leadership to support public services, local policy, and community needs.
Doc Williams passed away on 08/24/25. Judy Vance was appointed to fill his position for the remainder of the term on 11/13/25.
Brookie Craddock
Serves on Chapmanville Town Council, helping guide town decisions and advocate for the needs and interests of Chapmanville residents.
Ben DesRocher
Council Member
Serves on Chapmanville Town Council, contributing to town planning, municipal decisions, and efforts that support the community’s future.
George Cook
